A rundown of the past 2 weeks? November 19, 2009

The past week and a half has been somewhat of a blur . . . Actually, come to think of it the past two months has been a blur. Maybe the past week hasn’t been any different than the past month but we seem to have covered a lot of ground lately.

From Dallas we travelled to Shawnee Oklahoma, from Shawnee to Tulsa, Tulsa to Kansas City MO, and KC to Nashville Tennessee, and Nashville to Chicago, and Chicago to Kalamazoo Michigan.

In Shawnee we spoke at a Burn and we cried out for the Spirit of Fatherhood to sweep over the state of Oklahoma.

In Tulsa we connected with friends and enjoyed a nice Sabbath.

From Tulsa we jumped over to Kansas City where we were all able to spend a lot of MUCH NEEDED hours in the prayer room. There is nothing quite like sitting in the Presence of the Lord and soaking up his Love. I walked into the prayer room late Sunday night to find Joanna Reyburn leading the worship set. She released the song and word of the Lord over me. I can’t remember exactly what she sang but it was all about the Love of the Father and resting in His presence. By the time we left Wednesday afternoon renewal has broken out and it was difficult to pull away from the thickness of the Presence of the Holy Spirit.

In Tennessee we had an event at a coffee shop which was a pretty good turnout. One awesome story from that time was when Megan and Isaac (one of the guys on our team) were given a new song from heaven about how the Yoke of Christ is easy and how Christ went to the Cross because of his great love for us. After they prayed that God would give them a song from Heaven they began to sing spontaneously and next thing they knew God answered their prayers.

In Chicago we were able to stay with my family (Tiffany and David). I personally have just loved staying and spending time with them. Cultivating relationships has been one greatest things we have been able to do on this trip. We also spoke at Life Church in St. Charles, a west suburb of Chicago. Life Church is an amazing spirit filled church that is going after the things of God which made being there a blessing. It was so encouraging to see the Body of Christ step up and pray and go after the things that burden the heart of God.

In Kalamazoo we were able to interview Theresa Flores, a woman who was trafficked 27 years ago when she was 14 in Detroit. She was picked up from her home by traffickers against her will on the nights and the weekends and even during the day from school, to be sold to men without her family ever knowing till years later. I strongly suggest finding and reading or watching her story. It is an eye opener.

Right now we are headed to Detroit to shoot some footage of where this all happened.

Thanks for following and reading.

Dallas: no turn out–Great Event! November 19, 2009

Often times we determine how successful an event was by the number of people who come, watch, or listen—but that is see things through the eyes of our flesh, not the eyes of our faith. Faith see what the Spirit of the Lord is doing and how He is moving.

In Dallas we held a Justice Rally. We advertised, talked to people, organized, and when all was said and done 10 people showed up—four from our team, three of our contacts who organized the event, and three others. In the eyes of the flesh we could easily look at the event and stamp the whole trip to Dallas as a Fail Blog, but through the eyes of faith and the perspective of heaven this was the best event we have done yet.

The ten of us prayed and worship and the sweet presence of Holy Spirit came. Heaven responded as we worshiped and as we cried out “Worthy is the Lamb to take the scroll and open its seals”.  Although it was merely ten people with weak and simple prayers the King of kings showed up and was enthroned in our praises. He was glorified. He was exalted. His government was established in a greater way in Dallas—righteousness and Justice went forth into Dallas.

We drove fifteen hours from Denver to Dallas and held one event for a few hours to worship and pray with six people. In the eyes of man this is foolishness, but in the eyes of God this is the Kingdom going forth in Power.

A lot has happened in the past 3 weeks.

Here is a quick run down.

San Diego: Stayed with JHOP-SD. Prayed in with the crew there. Cried out for Justice and Mercy. Prayed for the ending of abortion.

Tijuana Mexico: Prayed. Looked for girls who had been trafficked from America. Prayed.

Phoenix: Help/held a human trafficking event in conjunction with Branded Phoenix. Lots of people showed up. Great time praying.

Las Vegas: Stayed on the Strip. Loved it. Prayed a lot. Witnessed to some girls from Mexico. Went out into wilderness. Spent a few days with the team enjoying each others company and praying.

Denver: We spoke in Church (morning and evening). Megan brought a great word in the morning youth service on intimacy and living life out of relationship with God. People were weeping.

Dallas: Held Justice Rally with the Burn 24-7. Ten people showed up . . . including our team of four. We had the best time so far on the tour. Success isn’t in the numbers–it is in the people committed to the cause. One committed person can do more that 100 uncommitted people.

Shawnee OK: Spent a day with the Burning Ones internship. Spoke on Trafficking. Prayed and worshiped at the Burn.

Tulsa: Sabbath.

Tonight we go to Kansas City, MO to spend some time at IHOP.

There is a run down of the past 3 weeks is fragment sentence form. Hope you enjoyed. :)

update/summary of trip/a little vision. October 15, 2009

A group of us, six Fire & Fragrance students and staff, took off from Hawaii to meet up with a team of five people from “Sex & Money” and four film crew guys on a journey across America to create a documentary about human trafficking & to bring child trafficking to an end. We, the Fire & Fragrance crew, are the prayer covering for the documentary, while helping bring awareness to the issue of sex slavery. While we have been on the road for a little less than a month, we have only recently connected with the “Sex & Money” group.

Prior to the two teams meeting up, the “Sex & Money” crew was out in New York for Freedom Week. Freedom Week was a week where many abolitions groups gathered in New York City to network and march for the end of Human Trafficking. While out in New York, they were filming and interviewing numerous congressmen and women and other activists who are working on solutions to bring an end to the issue of human trafficking. The group also attended the east coast’s biggest porn convention to interview people who are a part of the industry and people who were just attending and are fueling the fire of this injustice, human trafficking.

While the “Sex & Money” team was in New York, we were traveling through California, Washington, and Oregon. In each state, we were networking and speaking at and with YWAM bases, churches, organizations, and people who are involved with this issue of human trafficking, encouraging the Church to continue to press into to prayer and intimacy with Jesus to see this issue obliterated.

We truly believe that sex trafficking can end in America and the World. Although modern day slavery is a heavy and depressing issue we have no reason to be discouraged because we have Jesus Christ. We have the great deliver! Jesus came and was anointed to, “bring good news to the poor . . . bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isaiah 61). Jesus came to set the captives free! We, as ambassadors of Christ—sent ones—are called to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel.  This is the Good News of the Gospel—Jesus came to set the captives free! Christ now lives in us and we now have been anointed to do the same.

As YWAM’ers we are called to know God and make Him know. First we must know God by hearing his voice in the intimate place of prayer and gazing upon him in the ecstatic place of Worship. From a place of knowing the emotions of the heart of the Father we have authority to preach the full gospel of Christ. And the full gospel must be preached.  We must stop preaching a watered down gospel full of humanism and political correctness that is full of flesh based sympathy for a horrible issue and while coming into agreement with the spirit of the age that proclaims how hopeless the situation seems. We need to start BOLDLY proclaiming Jesus as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Mighty Judge of the earth who is coming to reign and rule—the only one able to bring Justice. If we would start to proclaim the full gospel of Christ we would begin to see a fresh and full move of the Spirit of God like never before bringing unrivaled Righteousness and Justice to the Earth—destroying the works of wickedness and darkness.

We have shared at numerous churches and organizations across three states, people have received Christ, many people have been astonished this injustice exist in our back yards, many have been moved by and for the issue of sex slavery, people have committed to actively press into God’s heart and intercede on His behalf for the ending of the issue of human trafficking. With fifteen states to go, we have only begun our journey and we are highly expectant for what the Lord will birth out of the next two months. Please partner with God in the place of prayer over modern day slavery. History belongs to those who pray. Let’s shift the course of our world and see captives set free.

The Lloyd Center — Sex Trafficking Recruiting Hub October 7, 2009

Filed under: Fire and Fragrance, Video, YWAM — Lucas Skrobot @ 18:44

Yesterday, Oct 6th 2009 we went to the Lloyd Center Mall in Portland, Oregon. The Lloyd Center is one of the largest recruit centers for sex traffickers. In this mall pimps prey on young girl and recruit (brainwash and kidnap) the girls for to turn them into sex slaves.

Our group prayer walked, sang over, and read scripture (the entire book of Hebrews) over all three levels of the mall for about three hours.  Even though we didn’t necessarily see anything, or chase anyone down, we prayed and we warred in the heavenlies over the mall. We ushered in the presence of the Lord.

When we don’t see anything visible happen it is easy to become discouraged and we could easily think that we are just wasting our time—but the reality is that we do not war against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities in the spiritual realm. When we pray angels and demons move. It is the reality of the Kingdom of God and we must have faith of this reality.

Please be praying with us for the ending of child trafficking.

This past week and been a good but busy week. Let me just give you a run down and highlight of what we have been doing.

Sunday Sept 27, we were at a church in the small town of Marble WA. Anna talked a little on the laws concerning Sex Trafficking and I (Lucas) brought the word on fervent prayer, intimacy, and Elijah (the spirit of Fatherhood). This was certainly a way to really kick off our tour, for the Sunday morning service in Marble was actually the first meeting we have done.

Tuesday we drove down to Seattle and Wednesday night we minister at Rainier Hill Fellowship. Anna brought the word to a youth group (full of girl) and I’m pretty sure it hit home. There were a few girls just weeping at the alter by the end of the meeting. Anna spoke on how we were created and placed in a garden called Pleasure (Eden)–we were created for intimacy with the Living God and he put a price on us which was the blood of His son. When we live our lives out of intimacy and love and others encounter the Love of God–hearts will be healed and trafficking will in due process end.

Thursday night we ministered at Revival Town–a ministry ran by Jason Phillips. Megan lead worship and April taught on Holy Spirit. April said that our lives are meant to be lived with intimacy with Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is a person who we are meant to walk with, talk with, commune with, and dwell with. Afterward we went back into worship and spent time prayer for people. God showed up. People were physically healed. And lives were touched.

Other big news is that we finally met up with the film crew! We met on Thursday and will be floating across the country with them for about the next 10 weeks. They so far have done some pretty powerful interviews in New York at the largest porn expo on the east coast. This week they are in Tacoma.

More news to come!!
